I probably have a ton of ESP8266 Wi-Fi bulbs in my home. They are working just fine connected to the cloud and controlled via Google home mini. knowing my luck if I tried to flash new firmware on them I would screw it up and they would become worthless garbage. I don't understand why these devices can't be controlled directly by the hubitat. Since they connect to a Wi-Fi signal, it should just be a matter of locally emulating the cloud server. I'm obviously no expert but I don't know why all this stuff has to be so damned complicated.
