Can you share what you had to do to fix this?

You can view more details in this thread and a quick fix:

Echo Speaks error getDeviceActivity

It won't solve the issue with Amazon, but if you comment out line 2800 respExceptionHandler(ex, "getDeviceActivity") the error message should stop being generated.
