Wow, this is a case I would have never thought of! I use Day Lights for inside bulbs during the day and Holiday Lighting for outside bulbs after sunset.
Wouldn't this best be handled via a switch specified to disable Day Lights on the Disable Options page? The switch could be manipulated in RM, or if using Holiday Lighting that has an option to turn on switches while active
I looked at one of my dimmable bulbs and it doesn't have the colorMode attribute. I don't have any CT-only bulbs so I added a virtual one and it doesn't either. So the only bulbs guaranteed to even be able to check the mode would be the ones listed in the Color changing devices group. I think it might be potentially confusing to have non-color bulbs stop "working" based on the state of the color bulbs. But you know me, I can be slow on the uptake
