Reinstall Switch Without Reprogramming Scenes

I was having some trouble recently with one of my Leviton switches. I changed the bulb but turns out the new bulb was also bad. But before I figured that out, I did a manual reset on the switch. Now the switch no longer connects to or responds to Hubitat.

I'm assuming I will have to remove the switch from my devices list and set it up again as a new switch. Is there any way to avoid having to go back and reprogram all the scenes the switch is currently configured in? Or is there some other way I might be able to get the switch to connect up again without first deleting it?

Since you've reset the switch, you should be able to just add it to the hub as a new device. You'll get a "Replace Device" option towards the end of the process when adding a new device (new in a recent 2.3.9 hotfix; make sure you're up-to-date if you aren't), and doing that should make things pretty easy. It will take the place of your old device in all apps. It's basically the same as adding the device and then doing a Swap Apps Device, which is still an option if you want to do it that way instead.

This assumes it's a Z-Wave (or maybe Matter) device; if Zigbee, you shouldn't have to do any of this at all, as it will be recognized as the same device if you just don't remove it from the hub first. For Z-Wave, you'll want to go into Settings > Z-Wave Details and try to remove the "old" node to avoid problems. If you see a "Remove" button, that should work; if not, a "Refresh" (and waiting a few seconds for it to finish) should make it appear (try once more after a while if not, or check back in a day or few). Remove that node to keep your Z-Wave radio happy for sure; then you'll probably also want to delete the "old" device from your "Devices" list, too, just to keep things clean.
