Regression of ecolink sensor issue from last year

Could there have been a regression the the drivers I am suddenly seeing delays or failures again only with automations related to ecolink battery zwave contact sensors. Same thing we were seeing last year when you backed.out some type of battery status change.

This only.started this evening after upgrading to .146

@bravenel

Same behavior i was seeong last yr...if contact has not been opened or closed.for awhile say an hour or two the automations based on them either don't work or are delayed. If I say close and reopen the door again they will work. Then they seem to work for awhile. Just duplicated it on 3 different automation based on the ecolink contact sensors.

These drivers have not been touched since that last change.

Was it the driver or.some.of change to how battery status was refreshed. I believe the work around before was to switch to a driver that dodntbhave that battery check.logic or something.

The driver was previously trying to send battery request after the device had gone to sleep..

Weird just checked ..they are all running the generic wave contact sensor driver. If it.continues I will try going back a version and see if it fixes it.

Actually 4 automations failed. First didn't sense dog gate closed. Then didn't sense basement door opened. Then didn't sense front door opened. then didn't sense slider opened.

I temporarily plugged in my backup c7 hub with no devices on it to upgrade to 2.2.9. Wonder if that had something to do with it. I can't see how.

If it truly has no devices as in, not generating any traffic, then it doesnโ€™t have anything to do with it

Ya and it was only pluggged in for the upgrade. The failures occurred later.

Only other change today was upgrading to .146 from .145

Nothing in logs look weird. no spamming messages in hub location logs. ZWave details look normal/fine.

thanks for the upddate .. turning on debugging on the affected lights and contact sensors and will run logs for awhile and see if it continues or i see anything.. hopefully it was just some sort of fluke.

all automations were instant just now.... hmmm.
