I bought a house and the previous owner left their Hubitat C8 with the property when they moved out. I just got around to plugging the Hubitat in and saw that it is configured with the home Z-Wave light switches, but is registered to the previous owner. Could I get help getting the device registered to my account?

That’s what I would suggest as well.
The simplest thing to do would be for the former owner to browse to My Hubitat and then from the hub details page, they can replace the hub’s admin email with yours.
If you can’t contact them, or they can’t/won’t do that for some reason, support might be able to help you.
If you tell support staff the hub’s MAC address, which is printed on the bottom, for example, that would confirm you are physically in possession of the hub.
I wouldn’t do that yet unless specifically asked by staff (and not in a public forum post).

you can likely still use the hub by browsing to its IP address, except mobile app won't work. I'm gueesing the previous owner will help you out, we're mostly not jerks around here. nice helpful people here.
