Agreed. I am not a huge fan of the Dovo factory razors, but I love Ralf Aust and Heribert Wacker razors. I also have a Brian Brown razor made from Solingen forged steel.

Wow. guess I don't know what I don't know! I always thought Hart Steel was supposed to be pretty good. I bought mine probably 7 or 8 years ago. I used it a few times, but as I said cut myself pretty good and stopped using it, and went back to a DE. I probably need to break that practice razor out and work with it again. One of the vintages is a Wade and Butcher America 1887. The other is from about 1911. The Wade and butcher is in decent shape, but the case is horrible. The other is ok, it was a restoration from Maggards. I can't remember who made it. I know it is stamped Austin, TX. When I dug into it, that company moved to St. Louis in in 1914.
