Reconnecting to hub

C7, Version 2.5.1.143

Android app version 2.1.4.07

Yesterday I updated my hub from the last version in the 2.5.0 series to 2.5.1.143. Since then each user in my house while using the phone app has seen a banner message in EZ Dashboard that says "reconnecting to hub". You can still control devices but the banner never goes away. We have tried logging out and back in as well as using the "add or reconnect a hub" feature in the more options section of the app. That just endlessly spins saying "searching for hubs".

Is your hub online? Have you tried to use the networking tools (Ping) to see if you can ping something like community.hubitat.com or amazon.com?

Reboot the hub or even do a shutdown, remove power for a few seconds, and restart?

Yes hub is online. It works fine from a PC. It is only the phone app doing this. I can still control devices from the app, with a significant delay and as long as the button is not behind the message banner. When I use "add or reconnect a hub" from the app it never stops searching for hubs. I have also logged out and back in on the hub with no change.

I am also seeing the "Reconnecting to hub" banner displayed, yet I can still control all devices from each Easy Dashboard without any problems.

The Hubitat app shows "Home (Local)", and I can successfully "Connect to the hub" with no errors. Additionally, clicking "Find Hubs" correctly locates my local hub at 192.168.20.10.

Network Configuration Note:
My phone (192.168.10.10) and the Hubitat (192.168.20.10) are on separate VLANs. Despite the segmentation, local connectivity seems functional, but the notification remains.

Environment:

  • Hub: Hubitat C-7, firmware 2.5.1.143
  • Phone: Pixel 6a, Android 17
  • App: Hubitat Android App 2.1.4.07 (447)

@gopher.ny Is this a bug you can look into? :up_arrow:

Noted. Does it appear in 2.5.1.147, just released, as well?

Installed the update. Problem is fixed. Thx

Fixed for me in 2.5.1.147
