I appreciate all the suggestions! At the moment, and this may change, I've decided to evaluate iDrive. It appears to have exactly the flexibility I need (including cloud and local targets), and the cost to do an evaluation was incredible - $3.98 for full functionality 10 TB for one year. That's the price for the first year, not per month (renews at around $80/year).
My only hesitations about iDrive were speed and privacy. Regarding speed, I was able to backup 60 GB of my most volatile and valuable data in one day, which I thought was good enough. And 90% of my backup data is going to be transferred via disk drive which is all included, including shipping both ways. Regarding privacy, they claim they do encryption with a private key (which they don't store - they say) so it sounds like zero knowledge. However, they do say they will decrypt data under a court order. That's contradictory, but not one of my major concerns.
Again, I appreciate the input and if this eval goes poorly, I'll try something else.
