Recommendation for migration- uninstall Iris v1 devices

Presently I have C7 and just purchased a C8 pro.
I have two Iris ver 1 door sensors and one Iris ver 1 keypad. The door sensors ill replace but I love the Keypad. Would like recommendations . Should I uninstall all Iris version 1 devices before the migration to C8 Pro? Will they cause issues if I migrate with them installed? I'd really like to keep the Iris keypad installed for the migration but if the consensus is to remove all Iris devices before migration, I will.
Many thanks
Tony

No, the problem is only during pairing, specifically, that they just won't. So you might want to have a plan if you ever need to do that for some reason, otherwise there would be no concerns for regular operation.

After migration, you could just re-pair them back to the C-7 and then share them to the C-8 Pro via Hub Mesh. That way they'll continue to work.

As @bertabcd1234 said, they will transfer over and continue to work. I have an Iris v1 plug on my C8 that got there via migration and it works normally.

Many thanks to all!
One last question. I have an iris ver 2 keypad. Will Ver 2 Iris devices pair with C8 without issues or do they have the
same issues as Iris ver 1 devices

Again, many thanks. This community is awesome!

They may. I had 8 or 9 V1 devices when I migrated, and I believe one motion sensor migrated, all the others stopped working and would not re-pair.

I did as suggested by @jlv and I kept a C7 in the house and have all my v1 devices on there. I am slowly replacing them all but they work great, and I hoped maybe some day they might figure out how to bring them back in, but I'm not very hopeful.

The V2 devices were standard Zigbee so they are fine. I wish I had more of them.

Interesting...IIRC I only migrated one to the C8 so had an n of 1 in my case. My other v1s are all on my second C7 that I kept running. I would actually recommend that in general as it gives you more options in setting up home automations and joining devices w/different peculiarities..
