Rebirth of a Ghost

I am 20% of the way into reestablishing my system. I successfully have completed two rooms controlled by Zooz Zen34 Switches.
I changed the lights for a third room - no problem. Changed the Zooz Zen34 for the third room and it appeared on the device list. It appear one time on the log and then stopped working. Still lights as if it is working but no log and no response from room app to turn on or off lights.

Also no changes on device.

Afraid to try to remove it.

Going further and further down the Rabbit Hole. You can see from my device list I succeeded in reestablishing some of my rooms on a new Hubitat.

Everything broke down with the Powder Room. The lighting device, an Aeotec was no problem. Factory reset Zooz Zen34 as Powder Room Switch and it worked one time on log then stopped showing up. Renamed it to Ghost.

Tried new Zooz Zen34 using smart start and it went into node 15, and when I looked at entry it created discovered it had no name, had discover button, and evidently is a real ghost which is why I started this whole process.

Conclusion. Zooz Zen34's break Hubitat and Hubitat lacks tools to fix this.

I've got 3 Zen34's and don't recall having any problems when I initially paired them and no problems with ongoing use.

I would go through one of the many ghost removal procedures listed on this forum to start with a clean slate. You probably already know this but battery devices can easily get out of sync when messing with configurations unless they're woken up.

First thing I would do is click on the firmware update button on your Z-wave details page. See below. This will update your Z-wave firmware and should make the process go smoother. There is a good chance that updating the Z-wave firmware will be the key to solving your problem.

Then I would try the discover button on the last device. This may or may not work. If it doesn't then try the refresh button. You may need to try the refresh button a couple of times till you get a remove button. Then click on the remove button.
