If I recall correctly, there was a switch on the dashboard Thermostat icon for enabling/disabling the Hold feature. I am not seeing it now, and frankly I lost track when it disappeared. Seems like the only option to engage it is in the device page of the particular CT50 device.
You could try using Rule Machine with a virtual switch - add a trigger of when the virtual switch is changed, then add the action to turn the thermostat Hold on or off accordingly.
