Radio Thermostat CT-32 Zigbee

Has anyone got the Radio Thermostat CT-32 working? This one I picked up is Zigbee, not Zwave.

I'm guessing we just don't have the right drivers because when I try to pair it, I see "Found zigbee device, initalizing" but it never pops up with anything.

These use the Zigbee Smart Energy profile, not Zigbee 3.0 or Zigbee 1.2 which is what Hubitat supports.

Well rats. I should have checked first before getting it. :man_shrugging:

If you got this off ebay, the listing is disingenuous as it certainly will not work with any Zigbee controller, folks have tried it and failed with SmartThings as well.

It was my fault not the seller I should have done my research. I knew they had interchangeable modules and the Z-Wave version worked so I made a giant assumption. :grinning:

It was like 20 bucks I've wasted more money on more useless stuff. :grinning:

On a side note do you have any thermostats that you would recommend readily available that work well locally via Wi-Fi or zigbee?

I've got a Honeywell now but the cloud connection leaves a lot to be desired.

Don’t know of any WiFi thermostats that work locally. There are at least three zigbee thermostat that work well:

  1. Lux KONOz
  2. Centralite Pearl
  3. ZEN zigbee

The KONOz does not support multi-stage cool. The ZEN and Centralite do.

Somewhere in this house I have a Centralite Pearl that I am not using. If I find it, it will be available.

I've actually looked at the pearl and zen used on eBay. Trying to find what the minimum heating set point is on any of them since it's going in the garage.

That might be a good question to ask on the Zen web site.
