Rachio or Orbit hose controller

After receiving a defective ZigBee controller from AliExpress, I'm back in the hunt.

I'm now considering either the Rachio or Orbit products. I already have a Rachio irrigation controller so that might be the best route. My main objective for this use is I want a quick action from a motion trigger. It looks like both of these are connected through a WiFi hub.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

API support for Smart Hose timer?

If so, it looks like it cannot be controlled via the current API yet…

Because the Rachio hose controller cannot currently be controlled with Hubitat, I ended-up getting myself one of those from AliExpress and have been very happy with it up to now. I actually just ordered another a few weeks ago.

Just got one of these and it paired immediately on my C-8 hub. However, it wouldn’t recognize open/close commands. Thanks to the post above, I enabled “Advanced Options” and manually selected “TS0601_GIEX_VALVE” and now it works - Yay! [IMG_2774] @kkossev, thank you so much for all your great drivers!

I also bought this Tuya controller. It paired then died. I had to force remove it and now it will not pair, the button does not control it and the brass insert is either cross threaded or the wrong size

Ouch! That’s not good! Mine is still working as far as I know, and the button controls it, so it does indeed look like yours is toast… Very unfortunate.
