Question on Honeywell T6 Pro wiring

Today I moved my T6 Pro to a location where it will control both heat and A/C.
My heat is a boiler, it is completely separate from the A/C.

I'm pretty good on wiring, and I have it working.

I must use the common from the A/C transformer, the common from the boiler doesn't work. The installation instructions tells me I have to use the A/C common.

My question is: Electrically it should work but NO.
Anyone found more in depth information that might explain this?

I started with ecoBee3

Did you meter the red wire to see if it's actually outputting 24v? In your AC panel check the main board where the wires come in. In big white letters you will see the R G Y1 etc and the associated color wires.

Yes of course. And it seems by now I know the terminal code by heart. The only thing I haven't done is measure the current in the respective Rc and Rh wires.

Before I started, the ecobee was working correctly on my boiler and a Honeywell T6 Pro was working fine with my A/C.
