Another very frustrating morning battling with z wave devices, wondering if anyone can help, please?
All I want to do is set up a switch to interact with the device, preferably to control brightness up and down with a push motion and a holding motion. I have set up the switch and it works ok (tested with voltage tester) but in the settings, there's no way for me to control what pressing the button does?!?!?!
Am I missing something here? It's driving me insane, why is the system so counterintuitive
I have set up some Fibaro dimmers on another Hub and there was an advanced options section you had to toggle open, no such thing with these dimmers though.
Is there a resource with some custom drivers or somthing?
It might be that not all of the possible configuration options are available in the provided driver. If you have access to the list of parameters and their respective values from Qubino, it is possible to set them outside of the driver you are using.
All of the necessary info is on this page:
or you can download the extended pdf manual with the options here:
1 - Download the Basic Z Wave Tool driver
2 - Switch your Qubino device to that driver
3 - Using the controls in the Basic Z Wave Tool driver, enter the parameter number, byte size and value as required and hit send parameter. Repeat for as many parameters as you'd like to change
4 - Switch the device back to the Qubino driver
Edit: If you search in the forum, you may also find a community written driver that has the additional options you require.
Ace thanks for the help man, I have the manual of course that is the first place I looked!!!
I find this system so stupid sometimes though, why must everything be so hard to do? Why can't I just access all the features of the device stated in the spec? Why do I have to be like Neo in the matrix to use my devices to their full potential?
