How do you put a short video in a forum post to demonstrate something? (directly rather than an external link) I've seen this in a few posts but can't see an option.
For some of the stuff I have posted I purchased SnagIT which allows recording of mp4's which you can then convert to an animated gif. Quality is not great a lot of the time in gif form, but it usually gets the idea across.

Thanks. I tried converting a screen capture mp4 (shift, cmd, 5 on Mac) to a gif the other day with adobe express. It was the size of an avatar on the post

For sharing videos we recommend using an external service and sharing the link to the videoclip. YouTube, Onedrive, Google Drive can all host the video for free.
