My most common use for something like this would be tied to geofencing and lock status updates.

Hubitat Notification work fairly well but there do seem to be occasional misses and uneven timing/delivery of the message.

I REALLY like depending on nothing but Hubitat but break that rule for easier/cool stuff from time to time.

Is Pushover substantially better enough to convert to?

Yes. Plus it integrates easily with many other systems that Hubitat users often use.

It really is. There are a lot of options available when using pushover. The cost of the pushover app is a real bargain.

I appreciate its rich feature set—custom sounds, images, links, actionable menus, recurring notifications with acknowledgements, and HTML customization—making it the perfect third-party notification companion.

edit: Also integrates into other online based software sucH as zapiar and mak ai. I use those to notify me of specific emails/reports I get from work.
