I have two C-8 hubs in separate houses, and my cell phone is added as a device to both via the mobile app. When I send a test message from the device page, only the last hub I selected in the app shows the message on my phone’s screen. Both hubs log messages in the app, but I want both to send push notifications that display on my phone. Is this a known limitation (only one active hub at a time), or am I doing something wrong?
Yes. AFAIK, this is a current limitation. I’d recommend using Pushover in your situation.

You can also share your phone device from one hub to another using hub mesh.
Yes, but perhaps not so easily in the situation described by @LittleNoel
It would require a VPN, and then to get Hub Mesh discovery to work over a VPN.
