What happens to the push notifications. It has been almost a year or more since the last time I was able to get one in my phone. How can I enable them again?
Make sure you have the latest Hubitat app on your phone. Then open the app and I think when you connect to the hub it will suggest which device to associate your phone with. You need to do this once when you change phone device I think. Someone else can probably explain the process better...
@santosm74 On your phone app log out. Then log back in (it will prompt to create a notification device, don't) and see if it starts working. If it doesn't, then log out of the app again. Go into the hub from a PC and delete your phone from devices. Then re log back in your phone app and let it create the device. Set your notifications to the new device.
Rick is likely on the right track, but it could be worth listing out a few things:
- Do you have one or multiple hubs?
- What platform version are you running on your hub(s)?
- What type of mobile device are you using? iOS or Android?
- What version of the mobile app are you running?
- What notifications do you have configured on your HE hub? i.e. what apps are you using on HE to try and send push notifications? Screenshots of their configuration could help.
I had the same issue after upgrading to the C-8 Pro. I tried logging out and deleting the app, then reinstalling the app and logging in, replacing the mobile device with a new one (from the hub’s add device), etc. I finally realized that it wasn’t letting me choose the matching mobile device when I logged in (just blowing right by this very fast). What fixed it was connecting to one of my other hubs (in the mobile app), and then connecting back to my main hub. I then had it create a new mobile device (from the app), name it, and then go into the hub’s settings and use “Swap Device” to replace it in all of my rules. Surprisingly, it also replaced it across all 3 of the hubs the mobile device was linked to. I had tried just selecting the existing mobile device when logging back into the hub, and this did not fix the issue, I had to create a new device from within the mobile app. It now works as it should.
