I just used one of those for two weeks a week ago while visiting my daughter in Spain.

Maybe good to note that the recall is only based on the possibility of the accompanying cable fraying after repeated bending etc.
There should be no issue with the charger itself, especially if you do not use the cable that came with it (it can accept any figure of eight cable).
