I want to be able to switch between my projector and TV with ease and need help.
Currently I have the following equipmment:
- LG OLED (TV)
- Optoma Projector (Projector)
- Marantz SR-7011 (Receiver)
- Harmony Hub
- Nvidia Shield
- Apple TV
- Stewart Filmscreen Projector Screen (12V Trigger action)
- Projector Lift (Z-wave Trigger)
I currently have an HDMI Splitter for the Nvidia Shield going to two different HDMI input sources to the Marantz Receiver. One input triggers the 12V trigger to turn open the screen the other one doesn't so I can use the shield on both inputs. The problem is when I turn the volume up or down in projector mode, it turns on the TV and the screen rolls back up and the input is changed while the projector is still down and on. I can only do this with my Shield because it has an HDMI splitter. The HDMI output on the Receiver is set to dual so the projector and TV get the video signal from the receiver. I use my harmony and have set watch TV or watch Projector. When "watch Projector" is selected, the projector lift comes down, screen comes down, projector is turned on, lights dim and shades go down. When I select "watch TV" the roller shades go back up, lights don't change, projector turns off, projector lift retracts and TV is turned on. The problem is when I change the volume while in projector mode, it just messes everything up switching the receiver source back to TV, TV turns on, projector retracts and projector lift stays open and the projector stays on.
Is there a way to properly set this up so I can easily swap between projector and TV without the HDMI splitter and switch between sources like the Apple TV without any issues when I change the volume? I believe this has something to do with the ARC and CEC options but not sure what should be done where.
