Problem with selecting midnight with time trigger

Hi All,

Looks like the hub is having a problem selecting midnight when creating a rule based on a time trigger.

If you select 00:00 as the start time it will revert to 11:00pm IST

If you select 01:00 it will select 12:00am GMT

If you select 02:00 it will select 2:00am GMT

Iā€™m wondering might it have something to do with the time change by an hour which just happened here in Ireland.

Anyone else having the same problem ?

Notice the strange time zone selection also at midnight IST any other time GMT.

@bobbyD - have others reported this problem. ?

Thanks

I've found it unwise to pick noon or midnight. In general, not just Hubitat.

  • If you are being philosophical you could argue it should work.
  • If you are being practical you will just set the time for 11:59 (AM or PM)

I just check again after midnight and it looks like itā€™s kinda showing correctly but now showing as IST time. GMT from my understanding what it should display.

I get what you mean however to get 12:01 youā€™d need to set it to 01:01 and if you wanted 01:00 you couldnā€™t.

Why would you say this? There is nothing about those times that is any different than any other time.

What is your time zone setting in Settings / Location? Also, what is your postal code entered there?

Time zone set to Europe/Dublin and postal code is also configured correctly. Has been working perfectly up until the time zone change.

I have upgraded the hub so I could get the new hub protect service so maybe something in the new version ?

Itā€™s strange even when looking at the rules it still shows IST for some reason. The glitch as I explained in my previous post where it would show GMT is now not happening since we passed midnight.

I can DM my postal code if that helps ? Donā€™t want to post on the public forums.

I've seen issues with various products in the past. If I recall correctly at least one of these issues was on Hubitat (many revisions ago).
Besides, its the same number of key strokes.

Just looking at the backup section and you can see it was GMT to the other day and now IST. No change on the timezone

A schedule which was to end at 1am worked so I think it might have sorted itself out after it passed midnight , I presume IST is Irish Standard Time.

Isn't Irish Standard Time = time for a Guinness ?

I wish :grinning: no pubs open here
