Problem with 3-way switch Inovelli and GE Enbrighten add-on

So I've had a 3-way switch working for a while now... I was using an Inovelli Red Dimmer on both sides... one connected to the load and the other just using z-wave direct association. Fast forward to today I wanted to reuse that red series dimmer elsewhere so I figured I'd try out the cheaper route of using a GE Enbrighten Add-On switch (46199) for the 3-way. I'm pretty confident everything is wired correctly, but the add-on is not doing anything. The main switch works fine. The Inovelli instructions say "PLEASE REMEMBER TO PROGRAM THE SWITCH FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY (located in the instructions)"..... but I'm not finding anything in the instructions regarding "programming" for the add-on switch, just wiring. Do I need to change a parameter somewhere in Hubitat for the Inovelli?!?! Thanks!

You'll want to make sure you change parameter 22 to a 3-way momentary switch in the driver.

Ah, thank you so much. Works like a charm. Notice now though that when turning the switch back on, they don't return to their previous dim level, but rather full on (even when not operating the add-on). Is that a limitation of using an add-on or do I just need to tweak settings again?

I only have one setup like yours, but the momentary add-on switch appears to operate just like the switch on the Inovelli minus scenes. Clicking up should result in the dimmer going to the default (local control) level, but if it isn't, post a screenshot of your parameters and I'll see if I can find another tweak for you. It's been long enough ago that I set mine up that I can't remember everything that went into it.

I have the add on and had change the parameter setting as well. Works great!

3-way toggle is working for me, not 3-way momentary. Do these firmware look correct for the LZW31-SN?

  • firmware : 1.48
  • firmware0 : 1.48
  • firmware1 : 1.34

Any other configuration settings i have to keep in mind?

Airgap pull seemed to have fixed it. crossing fingers.
