I have a lutron hub and several devices linked to it. The problem i am having is that the instruction say i need to enable telnet through the mobile app and send the connection report to get the device ids. Neither of those features are in the mobile app as far as i can determine.
I wish the connection from hubitat could import the devices automatically the same way the Alexa app did.
As far as I know, there is no planned support because the regular bridge is only able to integrate through cloud-cloud setup. The pro hub allows telnet directly so all control is local. That's what Hubitat is all about. But you'd have to email support to get an official answer.
That integration goes cloud-to-cloud. Hubitat's integration, as mentioned, works locally over telnet, which the non-Pro Bridge doesn't support.
There is a cloud-dependent workaround some ST users are using: [OBSOLETE] LutronPro Caseta v1.0 - Projects & Stories - SmartThings Community. If you're up for it, you could see if the code ports to Hubitat. It requires a service running locally (on a server or other always-on or at least always-on-when-you-want-to-use-this computer), but it works with the regular bridge. You'll also likely have to tweak the DTH to work with Hubitat's button model, which is slightly different from ST's, and unlike Hubitat you don't get the choice between the "regular" and "fast" driver, not it will matter much when the cloud and additional processing probably adds a slight delay.
Or you could get the Pro Bridge. Energy Avenue has then for less new than anywhere I've seen, though I think their Black Friday sales are over. Might be able to at least still get free shipping, however.
I’ve used both a non-pro Lutron bridge with the ST cloud-based integration, and a pro Lutron bridge integrated with Hubitat over telnet. I highly recommend the local integration over telnet.
You can still get free shipping from Energy Avenue with the code FREESHIP18. I just picked up 2 more Pico for $11.23 each. Can't beat that price!! The pro hub is listed at $88.
Also, I didn't know that they have a nightlight pico, that evidently has an LED in it so you can find it in the dark. Very cool! Not worth the $32 they're asking for them but still VERY cool.
After using the Caseta cloud integration with ST and now the Hubitat telnet, I can't recommend more highly the telnet solution. It is far and away the best $88 I've spent on any home automation product. I would have easily paid twice that for the functionality I was able to get.
