That’s a great update. Does there seem to be any way this can be ported to Hubitat?
Ported - probably not. Brought in through HADB, possibly. I haven’t tried it yet, but I suspect the temp control may not come over to HE cleanly.
I went ahead and checked it through HADB and it does work. I was worried the temp control wouldn’t as the values are higher than a typical thermostat device.
So, once the Moen is connected to HA through the HomeKit device integration, and HADB is set up, you can bring over the main switch (valve) device, a switch device for each outlet, a thermostat device for setting the temp and a temp sensor device for monitoring current temp.
To turn it on to 100 degrees (or last set temp if it was set recently), just turn on the master switch or the specific outlet switches you need turned on.
To turn it on to a different preset temp, set the thermostat device to your preferred temp. Then turn on either the master switch or the desired outlet switches.
I’ll continue to use my current method (echo speaks, and the Moen “api” for status), but the HA->HE approach is looking promising. I’d have to test some more to determine if it passes the WAF test.
This is amazing. It’s the only device of the 200 or so I have that does not go direct to hubitat.
Work has been killing me with end of year processes so I haven’t been able to have any home automation time
But I plan to look into this as soon as I have some free time.
Thanks so much for sharing your findings!
