Hello everyone. I want to ask forum users for help, namely I own a c7 concelerator, the device works great and I am very happy with it, but I can't deal with the presence sensors. I have two Aqara FP1 sensors and three Tuya sensors. out of these five devices, I managed to run only one aqara fp1 and it works satisfactorily. the second aqara device detects presence, but after leaving the toilet it does not switch to the absent state. the same applies to tuya devices, they detect movement but do not return to the absent state after leaving the room. Because I am not an advanced hubitat user, but rather a novice, I would like to ask for help in purchasing sensors dedicated to the hubitat device, which will work best after pairing and will work stably. please suggest what brands and models to buy. I apologize for any translation errors because I use Google translator. Greetings Marcin
Hi Marcin,
A typical reason for the 'presence' (actually motion) not being switched to an inactive state is interference from other slightly moving objects - fans, plants, water flowing, curtains moved by air, air conditioners, etc..
You need to fine-tune each of the presence sensors - one by one.
- reduce the sensor sensitivity
- reduce the minimum and the maximum detection range parameter
- re-orient the sensor so that it does not 'see' the interfering objects.
You can start with the FP1 - reduce the sensitivity and the maximum distance and let us know if there is any result. If it still doesn't go to an inactive state, please post some debug logs and the State Variables section from the device web page.
