Presence not trigging switch

my presence is being detected by life360. the logs indicate it turns on the porch light but porch really doesnt turn on.

any ideas?

Since the log "on" event was produced by the light, not the app, and our drivers only produce events that are responses produced by the device itself, this seems odd to me.
Presumably the light can be turned on via the driver as well as the actual switch right?

yes. i also have the same light activated by a contact switch of front door and that works fine too. the switch works too

What kind of device is "porch"?

Would you double check by opening the device page for it, and click on and off, and see if it responds as expected.

OK, then this is officially a mystery. Let me think about it for a bit. Doesn't make much sense so far!

Try one more thing. Open the rule and hit Done (with the light in the opposite sense of the rule truth --> if TRUE, have the light off). See if that turns it on or not.

ok something strange i noticed when trying to diagnosis this. my zwave stuff is now having a major delay. i have 3 ge switches. porch hallway 1 and 2. when i first set up the hub, they were extremely q uick. now there is a major delay. i noticed this yesterday with the hallway lights. i have a rule setup for when hallway 1 or 2 is turned on to turn the other one on and visa vera. worked well. same with the porch was very fast. now all three of them are slow to respond. sometimes they respond to commands in the device page sometimes they dont. the hallway rule has a major delay of like 10 sec it seems requardless of the logs. only thing that changed since i got the hub was i udgrade the firmware 2 times. tried going back to the one i started with but still problem is there. this is probably the reason the porch doesnt come on when i come home cause the delay and sometimes not working at all
