Presence for apartment dwellers?

I am trying to figure out a way to automate Away/Return from Away for my apartment. The smallest I can make the Geofence is an entire block and my wifi connects before I even enter the lobby.

Of course I could change it manually in the app, but I would prefer it to change automatically.

I do have a contact sensor on the front door and am wanting to get a few motion sensors, so it's possible that Contact Sensor Changed + Time since Inactive Motion Sensor could work unless my cat triggers it.

But I thought I would ask here before trying to re-invent the wheel in case someone here as discovered a good solution

I think your idea of WifI plus a contact sensor on the door or motion is a pretty easy/reliable solution for an apartment.

As I work in my local neighbourhood I often drive past my own house, triggering the present status. My rule allows me to come and go but only triggers when I enter the house.
