Thanks. I do already have an AppleTV setup as a home hub.
For whatever reason my phone seems to work more reliably than my wife's. I'm even having trouble with hers using the HomeKit work around.
They are identical phones both running the most recent OS. I've also checked permissions and settings on both phones.
