Possible to set the Device page "Status" column setting for multiple devices at a time?

I'd like to make more use of the Status column on the Device page, but it seems that each device must be set individually...this means four clicks per device (along w/associated mouse movements):

1. Click on pencil
2. Click on drop down
3. Click on desired status
4. Click OK

So four clicks, times, say 40 motion sensors = 160 clicks to get them all set to "Motion."

Is there any way to automate this - e.g., set all contacts to "Contact," set all Motion sensors to "Motion."

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this. If you have over 200 devices and even only want to enable status for a subset of your devices, the 4x required number of mouse movements and clicks to enable the desired status for each device is pretty daunting. Am I missing an easier approach to this?

That's what I thought at first, but I don't see any option in there to set the Status column, as it's not a device Preference (at least as fas as I can tell).

Plus many on this. For >400 devices, setting the attributes one by one gets really old really fast.

I'd love to say, "For all the contact sensors, the attribute to display is contact".
