This is a newer triggered rule for me, so canāt verify that it worked in older versions. At 6:22pm this should have evaluated as False, but was somehow true. Any ideas?
That log entry is not from the rule being evaluated. Please turn on all logging for the rule and show more logs to establish the full context of what is going on.
Sure, I manually set my presence to departed and then arrived, to test. Same result. My light turned off instead of 20% as expected.
What version of Rule is that rule? 2.5 or 3.0?
Looks like 2.5. Please recreate that rule with 3.0. Not working on 2.5 any more.
2.5.
Will do.
Seems like same result on 3.0. Sunset is here now for the night, so not sure if I can accurately test again. Anything else to check out?
I'm testing something similar and not seeing it fail. Again, turn on all of the logging, make it fail, and show the logs.
Would you check your Location and timezone, and if those seem correct, reboot your hub. Something is wonky with time calculations on your hub.
I had the same problem because I didn't realise that I need to set my GPS coordinates in the hub. I thought setting the timezone was sufficient.
Location and Timezone look good. I've rebooted and will report back on the real-world test when I arrive at home later tonight.
Still a mystery, switch turns off 10 mins after arrival instead of the expected 20% level set.
Here is my test rule:
It's before sunset here now as you can see from the FALSE for the Rule. When I trigger this, the color light comes on blue, as expected.
Suggest you see what happens when you hit the Run this Triggered Rule button. That just omits the Trigger Events and does it manually.
This is what the logs look like:
Your logs seem incomplete. Do you have all logging options checked? Not seeing a log entry that looks like this:
Arrival - Chandelier Dim/Off after 10 mins: is False
Look at the Chandelier device, and see if it is in use by any other app. At the bottom of the page, like this:
Weāre getting somewhere.. when I manually run the triggered rule it dimmed the light after 10 mins as expected.
This device is used in multiple other rules. Iāll go through them and see if I can find the conflicting rule.
'Tis a mystery. When you run the rule manually, it works correctly. When it is triggered it fails?
I'm out of suggestions, except for: remove this rule. Make two separate rules.
Two rules now and itās working as expected. One is for shutting it off, one for dimming. Simple enough that it should have worked fine in 1 rule, but who knows... Iād be curious if you see anything else out there like this, to bump the thread so I know I wasnāt just being crazy
