Poor button design

I bought these cheap zigbee buttons from Aliexpress about a year ago for about $2 apiece. The seller's description (screenshot below) indicated they support single/double/long press, which is all I needed.

Single/double press work as expected. Long press doesn't generate an event. It just resets the button and puts it into pairing mode, so one has to pair to the coordinator all over again.

Like the adage goes - you get what you pay for.

Yeah, I have old Xiaomi buttons that look like that and they only do Press and Hold.

I have these old (original) Xiaomi/Mijia buttons:

They are capable of the following actions:

Single/Double/Triple/Quadruple/Many/Hold/Release

If you have the same buttons, then it is possible that the driver you are using only exposes "Press" and "Hold". Or maybe you have different buttons.

Yeah. I looked at the driver and there are only 3 options, push, hold and Dbl tap.

No biggee for me as I could never remember what each one did across the many I have.

I would have to carry a spreadsheet for my old brain.
