Plug in motion sensor

Zigbee motion sensors seem a bit faster - I have not tested this myself but based on my experiences (Iris vs Aeotec MS-6) this appears to be true. The issue is with most of these sensors you need to hack them to work via external power. The good news is it is very easy to do.

In terms of Z-Wave I have used the Inovelli 4-in-1's and previously Aeotec MS-6's. The Inovelli's are in my basement and after a firmware upgrade appear to be working fine. As @ccoupe mentioned Zooz has a few that are nice but I would stay away from their 4-in-1 sensor right now while HE/Zooz work out the kinks.

edit: I still have an Aeotec MS-6 in my garage and it seems to be working okay.

Yes, i have 2 of these, now removed from my network, so i will be avoiding them.

To confirm, your Inovelli and Aeotec are both battery?

Battery or USB.

This one has the option of using a USB:

ohh that looks good! I like the newer GE Switches but have no experience with those.

I have a few using a driver that @lewis.heidrick ported. Zwave Plus with fairly quick response time and adjustable sensitivity.

I bought this and just used it to convert some of my battery powered devices to plug in.
