I’m trying to get presence sensing for my phone working using the Hubitat mobile app for Android. I have a Pixel 10 Pro. I have enabled location and unrestricted battery permissions for the app on my phone. I have enabled Geofence in the Hubitat app. I can see in the mobile app that it is correctly identifying when I am in or out of the geofence. It just does not reflect that in the hub. To test if the mobile app is working and connected to the hub I tried sending a notification to my phone which did work. I’m not too sure where to go from here. Any help much appreciated.
When you installed the app, it created a mobile app device. That device should be changing the presence attribute based on location. It is also used to send push notifications to the phone.
Hi thanks for your reply. I can see I didn’t explain the issue I’m having that clearly! I’m trying to use the mobile app device. The issue I’m having is the presence state never changes - stays as present when I am out of the Geofence area (even though in the mobile app is shows I am outside the geofence.
Ah, I guess I read the mobile app device to be the Hubitat phone app.
I can't find anywhere in the Android Hubitat app where it tells you what presence device is being used in Hubitat with the app. I just can't find it.
I'm just wondering if you have other phone devices in Hubitat, and the app is sending presence to a different one? When you first install the app, you can choose to use an existing device, or create a new one. Did you create a new one when you installed the app on a new phone?
Other than that, maybe you can reinstall the app and get that option again choose or create a notification presence device.
