What you see there probably isn't the cause but the end result. Hue bulbs especially are prone to frequency hopping especially when operated without a true hue controller (go figure). Now the following applies to all zigbee devices but especially to hue which are prone to literally hopping of to a state of obivion and the only way to recover them is with a true hue controller ORrrrrr get yourself a littel gem called a Lutron connected bulb remote control model # LZL-4b (about $19.00) place the remote next to the powered bulb and press the 2nd and 4th buttons and hold them until you see the hue bulb reset cycle. Once done you will have control over the bulb again like magic (this will save you lots of grief if you have muliple hue bulbs). Okay so for the cause...Zigbee devices operate within a range that is well very close to 2.4ghz wifi channels 10-12 and if your wifi router is set to auto-channel everytime it changes to one of the above referenceed channels you may notice zigbee devices especially hue bulbs frequency hopping into oblivion and ceasing to communicate. I have found that if you don't allow your router to change control channels on it's own the problem all but goes away. Yes that limits your channel options but what's more important to you? Constantly resetting your zigbee devices or.....taming your wireless router
