Philips Hue bulbs - dimming transition speed issues

Hi!

I've been trying to set up dimming transition speedsfor my bulbs, but it seems like it's not working. Is it a known issue with the driver? I run the latest version (2.3.4.114).

For example, see below: the lights should turn off in 28 seconds, but instead they turn off almost instantly.

  • When I go to the devices pages, and set up the level and duration there, it dims down a bit slower (maybe in 2 seconds), but not anywhere close to 28 sec.

  • Strangely, the dimming up transition time seems to be working from the device page.

These two observations remain true, whether I set the Start Level Direction UP or DOWN.

Also: When I try to make multiple tests one after the other, I notice some latency and the current state of the bulb.

Can you please help? Thank you!

Are these directly paired or used via the Hue Bridge? I saw some oddities with transition times for "off" via the Bridge before (never tried it directly via Zigbee) and don't recall what but wouldn't be surprised if this was it. Setting level to 0 is somewhat of an odd case for most devices; it's generally the same as an off. As a workaround, you could dim to 1 then, after a delay, turn off.

So I paired the Hue Bridge with the Habitat Hue app. I then paired the bulbs with Hubitat.
I tried your workaround and it works! Thank you!
