Philio PSP01-2 motion/temperature/illuminance

Thank you! But I did get the one I was messing with fixed up and working. They have been great motion sensors, I'd like to put two or three more out but they are hard to find, for a reasonable price anyway

Ah I missed that bit, but great that they are working

I have two variants, which are also branded differently. And to add, one has motion, the other doesn't, even worse. But managed to get both working

Interesting product. I had never seen that before. Looks like Nest might have based their "Detect" sensors design for the Nest Secure on those. What is considered a reasonable price for those? Here are two sellers on Amazon.com selling them for $65.

Interesting video about the design challenge of the Nest Detect sensor. Probably could have made it a lot shorter by saying "Well, first we copied the Philio PSM02..." :joy:

It wouldn't surprise me. Quite a few brands with the same innards.
Philio, Devolo, Zipato etc and they do differ. My Devolo branded one doesn't have a PIR. Yet my Zipato one does, the Devolo gave me the most trouble back in ST days, DTH wise. But Very good devices, had them in around a year and still reporting 100% battery, if that is to be believed! Not sure regarding price as I'm in the UK.

The 2 Zipato ones, I picked up buying two starter kits, 2 plugs and 1 multi sensor, £33 each starter kit, a bargain

I bought the PSP01-2 units from Vera when they were running a sale, buy 1 get 2 free for $69.95. I can't find that particular model anymore, but last time I saw it on the Vera website they were asking almost $50 each, that was too rich for my blood! I think something around $40 is reasonable for the units I have, which only do PIR, temperature and illuminance.

Zooz 4-in-1 were also recommended by some ST users and there's an official HE driver now.

I have some other Zooz items and like them a lot. I will definitely consider them when the time comes to replace the PSP01-2 units. www.thesmartesthouse.com has great prices on the Zooz products. Just got a Zooz Z-Wave Plus Motion Sensor ZSE18 with Magnetic Base (Battery or US - The Smartest House to put on the porch, not rated for outdoors but I've not had a problem with other motions sensors under the overhang.
