Phantom Devices

C8 Pro hub with 40 devices. Seems I added a scene controller that created phantom devices.

I downloaded the app ZWave mesh tool. It shows the 3 phantom devices with no neighbors - just direct connect. I have gone to the device that caused the phantom devices and performed multiple exclusions. I have shut down the controller, unplugged and waited. Any suggestions on what I am missing?

With the device powered off, go to that ZWave Info page and click Refresh. It will think about it for a bit and then display a REMOVE button. Do that. Then repeat until all 3 are gone. (You've Excluded the device so it can't recover, you'll need to Include it again.)

Anytime an Include goes poorly, you'll see it because of the DISCOVER button, don't do anything until that gets resolved. DISCOVER often means the battery powered device shut to save battery. Just click Discovery and get the device into Include again.. it should pick back up where it left off and complete.

Since this is an inwall scene selector, I started by turning the breaker that controls this circuit in my house. The I completed just as outlined and here is what was displayed:

Initiated a shut down on the hub, unplugged it for 30s, replugged and logged in and here is the current status:

It appears nothing has changed. Am I missing something? Power to the scene controller is still off.

In your first screenshot above, the 3 devices are showing a remove button.
Did you try to remove them?

Yes, I hit remove, wait spinner was replaced by the pending message.

OK, after several attempts, these are finally gone. I have one phantom left that I cannot figure out:

In Zwave details, here is what it shows:

Becasue I wasn't sure which device was the cause of this phantom, I removed every other (4) device that was also a "scene switch". I also removed the neighbors - all except the "unknown neighbor".

Thanks for the help, I'm learning and hopefully one day can contribute to others.
