I am trying to figure out a way to indicate the status of a device on an Echo Show and have it always on the screen.
My wife's Amazon Acct has the good music subscriptions and all of the Home Automation is linked to my Amazon Acct. So, if I ask Alexa to play music and my wife's account is active, Alexa tells me that I need to upgrade my account. If I ask Alexa to turn off living room and my wife's account is active, she tells me that lots of devices have the name "Living Room". What I want is a way to indicate which account is currently active so I don't have to ask first.
I got the easy part done. Using a Node Red palette, I can get that information and insert it into a HE virtual Omni Sensor in the text field. I just can't figure out how to make a visual change that is persistent. I know that I could open a HE dashboard but that would be slower than just asking her what account is active.
My thought was to set one wallpaper when my account is active and another when wife's account and just change using an Alexa Routine but that is not an option.
So, anyone have a creative way to have a persistent visual indicator of an Echo Show based on status of the text field? I don't have any nearby lightbulbs that could stay on a color 24/7 to use as indicators instead.
