Periodic Scheduling

Hi.
We have a cold snap approaching Houston and i'm looking to set up a rule that cycles on my pool filler on for a minute once an hour......when enabled. The filler is on the far side of the house and if i move the water frequently enough i'm thinking that it'll keep that whole side of there house from freezing...especially my hose bib which feeds my pool filler.

I've been looking at both Rules and Simple Automations and while it's possible with both...i'm not really able to figure how to do it simply with either.

Rule machine - Periodic Schedule.
I think i can do this with 2 rules.
Rule 1. Every hour starting at a certain hour...turn the valve on
Rule 2. Every hour..starting at the same hour....but a minute later....turn the valve off

Good thing about rule machine is its easy to pause a rule...so i would only turn it on (unpause) when needed)

Simple Automations
While a simple automation can turn things on and then off again in the same automation....i dont see an option for periodic...so it appears that i would have to set up a discrete automation for every hour of the day
The down side is there doesnt appear to be a way to copy simple automations ( like can be done with Rule Machine...and I dont think there is a way to simply pause a simple automation...like there is on Rule machine.

Anyway...i'm sure there are a ton of ways to address...but looking for something simple...and something that i can enable or disable easily.

I'm running 2.2.4.158 and the valve I'm opening is controlled with a Zen 16

Appreciate thoughts.
Thanks
Mac

Would seem to me that a periodic rule should be able to handle both, flow would be similar to:

Trigger Periodic Every Hour

Turn Zen 16 on
Wait 1 min
Turn Zen 16 off

Thanks.
I didnt see the option for Wait..then turn off.
Will continue to look.

The other thing about the periodic ( at least as i see it) is it will only start at a certain time..based on the time entered in the trigger.

You do give it a starting time, but then it runs every hour thereafter until told to stop

Is the "delay" the option what used to get the 1 min wait?
thanks

Sounds right, I do 98% of my rules in webCoRE (was originally on SmartThings) so translating....
