Paused Rules still runs

Something recently happened with an update which allows Paused and Stopped rules to continue running. I have a front door alexa "front door opened" message that continues to run regardless if I have the rule paused or stopped.

this used to never happen when i paused rules. now it seems pausing or stopping a rule has no effect for me.

You should mention what version you're on and what hub.
I just tried it on my C8 running the latest beta, and I get the following with an RM rule paused.
Although, I've never really looked at apps logs too much.
edit: ACTUALLY, it's NOT the latest beta, lol. It's the version previous.

C7 v 2.3.8.140

I do see the log for app pause at the 10:49:04 mark above. but clearly you see the rule start running when I opened the door at 10:49:15.

geez. someone delete this thread please. i was pausing the wrong rule. my mistake. no issues besides my own brain fog.

In your logs, what is app 544 and what is app 403 -- which one is the rule that is supposed to be paused?

Posting a picture of the rule itself may be helpful too.
