Hello everyone, I have a Panasonic Exterios Mini-Split Heat Pumps that I would like to connect to HE. The only option available from the manufacturer is a wifi module which is very $$$ (~300$). I've looked at third party solutions like Sensibo (which I don't like because it's Cloud) as well as the 2 Remotec products ZXT-120 and ZXT-600 (which I think is better). From my research, I concluded that most of the existing products use infrared communication to control the device.
At first, I wanted to have only a z-wave network. But I realize that having Zigbee as well is not necessarily a bad thing either as it gives me the best of both worlds. Are there any other possible options? Are there any Wifi options that are supported by HE?
