------------------------C7. Platform 2.4.2.160
I have a Schlage BE 469 lock that I can’t pair with my Hubitat. I had it paired with Smartthings when it was active, but have not had success. All other Smartthings that can be paired, paired. I’ve tried everything. I even had the lock right next to the Hubitat. I’ve just been using the lock manually, but want to connect. ---
Please provide your hub model (C7, C8, etc.) and its platform version from Settings>Hub Details.

What firmware is on it? (You can see that on the metal plate on the inside of the door) If it is under 7.10 you will have trouble. If above it should be fine.
Check for the presense of ghost nodes in your z-wave table. yourhubip>>settings>>z-wave details. Remove any ghosts as they can hinder connecting devices, especially locks.
Factory reset the lock. Remove battery press and hold the schlage button for 5 seconds. While holding the schlage button reconnect the battery. The red check mark light will flash 3 times indicating reset.
Now run z-wave pairing. Locks must be included with encryption or they will not pair. Pair with the hub and lock within 3 feet of eachother.
6.8. I guess l’m out of luck.
Get them really close to each other too for pairing. That lock is picky about that.
@tlbaxter58 That too. Pair within 3 feet of eachother for the whisper encryption. It may work (anything under 7.10 is a crap shoot but it's worth a try)

I had one on that firmware that I paired with my C3 back in 2018. Worked ok but ended up replacing it with a Zigbee Schlage. That lock is probably around 10 years old.
There are a couple things that you can try.
- Factory reset the lock on the lock itself.
- Do a Z-wave exclusion on the lock before trying to include again.
- Reboot the hub before trying to include. Give the hub just a minute to stabilize, then immediately start the pairing process.
- Pair close, or not close. I have had the locks pair anywhere from 20 feet away to other times they needed to be literally touching the hub. I can't tell you why one distance worked better than another.
- Do all this in a quiet environment without much Z-wave traffic.
