Paired August lock disappeared mysteriously

Hi.

I have a August Pro Lock. I added it to my hub and after some time I don't see it any more. It happened a couple of times. The first time it happened, I thought I might have mistakenly deleted it. But, it happened again today. I am unable to find any logs or other information regarding this mysterious disappearance.

Most likely the lock is bad, but I wanted to know if devices can disappear from the hub without any user actions.

They shouldn't. However, one thing that might make them disappear: did you force-reboot your hub at any point? If so, it restores the last-known good database if the database is bad at that point, so if the "right" circumstances happened to be there (corrupted database at that point, which non-polite restarts can sometimes do, and you happened to add the lock after the last daily automatic or manual backup), then it could have disappeared from the device database for that reason.

The device itself being bad wouldn't cause this--only doing a "Remove" on the device from Hubitat yourself should (otherwise) be able to do that.
