Outdoor Blinds or Shades that work with Hubitat?

hello everyone.
I would like to automate the opening and closing of blinds on my terrace, but I have encountered a few problems and I am asking for your advice.

Problem:

  • One roller blind will be about 2.3m long, so I'll probably have to make custom.
  • The blinds will be outside, I'm looking for a device that works with the hubitat and is water resistant.
  • Currently I only have zigbee devices but the terrace is close to the hubitat bridge.
  • I also have the option of connecting everything with wires.
  • I need 5 such modules and I don't want to spend a fortune :slight_smile:

What do you think are the best devices to use in my situation? Currently, I have no idea how to start and what to buy, I only have the material, so if anyone knows how to make such long blinds to size, I'd love to read it :slight_smile:

Check out Graber. I have their pleated shades in a couple of rooms (they are Z-Wave). It looks like they may have some outdoor roller shades . . .

You may want to look at some Somfy motors that can be controlled using a Bond Bridge. They won't satisfy the inexpensive requirement though....

I am using Outdoor Sun Setter shades with RF controlled remote which is controlled by Hubitat via Bond Bridge integration (available in HPM). The Bond Bridge is placed inside the house and has never failed to respond.

I use this too and it works perfectly with the Bond bridge.
