I don't even remember how long ago it was that I zip-tied a SmartThings multipurpose sensor to a rat trap and left it in the garage. Must be over a year. I was inspired to do it by the stench from a long forgotten trap that did its thing when no one was there to hear it. Today when I received the following notification it took me a moment to recall that I had this thing set up. No muss, no fuss.

Woah, that's awesome.
What is your trigger? Is it the accelerator?
Might that next life be in politics?

I don't believe you, a full year on a SmartThings multipurpose sensor without a change of batteries

Lol. These type of comments always crack me up. They’ll be a picture of a 10 car pile up , caused by a car stopping short. “Photoshop, fords brakes suck!”
LOVE IT!!! Nice job!

Gonna do that for my hubs. He's usually keeping tally of what he catches in the winter. This will be great!
