I have an Aqara vibration sensor on my mail box and today I noticed that it shows it is in use by HSM.
However, when I inspect the HSM settings, this sensor is definitely not in use anywhere, and I have not added it to HSM before even temporarily.
Perhaps this is expected because HSM "knows about" some kinds of sensors, like vibration?
If not... Should I try to fix this or leave it alone?
IIRC, HSM can default to using "all compatible devices" (or similar such language) in some setup instances, so perhaps it got swept in by something like that?
Yeah, I saw that there were some places with a toggle like that. Currently I am only using that option for leak detectors.
Well, let's see what happens if I turn that off...
OK, interesting. With HSM configured like this, so no leak detectors are in use at all, my Aqara vibration sensor shows it is not in use by HSM.
But when I turn the water sensors back on... Then the Aqara vibration sensor is caught up in HSM.
While this may be harmless, it does seem like a bug.
The driver for the vibration sensor might also have the capability for a leak sensor, so the app is picking it up. Do you have a link for the driver you are using?
I was just returning to post exactly that. It's a combo driver for all Aqara devices! Mystery solved.
