On the Hubitat Website there are C-8 hubs for NA and USA

That would be the continental USA.

What might be the difference?

Shipping. All hubitat's are the same. Regions can be set internally.

The main difference is in the power supply.

I think they've run some USA only promos in the past.
So just an internal shop keeping variation, nothing to do with the hardware in the box.

I'm curious - why is the power supply different? Doesn't all of North America use the same single-phase residential supply? With NEMA 5-15 receptacles?

I was adding a note to @rlithgow1 comment that "all hubs are the same". The regional difference is in the power supply. Sorry for the confusion.

When @rlithgow1 suggested shipping, I kinda figured the only difference Hub to Hub is the mains adapter.

BTW aren't you happy USB-C is the (current) standard? Should be no more connection issues.

we can only hope.. but if the issue was a weak solder on the board (and i belive that was the issue).. a usb c port can have a weak solder just as easily as a micro usb port.. hopefully that has been resolved.

Sorry I meant shipping to Canada/NA is the difference. Yes as pointed out by @bobbyd, the hub is the same for all regions, but for regions outside of US/NA the difference will be the power supply. While they all are usb c 1a powersupply. Prong and power input differences vary by country...

Since Alaska is excluded (the "US" version is for the lower 48 only) and is part of the North American continent, technically it's the contiguous USA.

Having explored this previously (I was ordering a hub to one of the lower-48 for use in Canada, and my order got updated since I picked the "NA" one), I can tell you that @rlithgow1 is 100% correct -- the contents of the box for "North America" and "US" are identical, the only difference is where they're being shipped to. Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada incur shipping fees that are different from the contiguous 48 states.

Can't be both. The last I checked Alaska does not share a border with the lower 48 states.

What I meant was "continental US" (the term you used) would include Alaska.

"Contiguous US" does not, and is what Hubitat's differentiation between "US" (being the contiguous 48 US states) and "NA" (referring to any part of the US or Canada that is outside the contiguous US) models relies on.

Technically, "NA" isn't correct in Hubitat's use, either, as it doesn't include Mexico (which is part of North America).

OK, starting to yawn...no more geography lessons, please.
