I read somewhere that the latest zigbee had a 64 device limit.
Thanks.

Why this penchant for "directly connected devices"? I have two really responsive zigbee networks; one with over 80 devices. Repeaters are heavily used in both my zigbee networks. And both networks have self-healed multiple times when repeaters have silently failed.
The choice has always been in the hands of engineers setting up the stack. It is not new. The limit is based on the confidence level that engineers believe to be the turning point after which the mesh becomes unstable. 32 end devices per radio has been the most stable in our testing. We actually launched with less, then later on bumped it to 32.
Ok, thanks.
I thought I read of other platforms boosting their latest to 64.
So, it's a Hubitat imposed limit.
You launched the latest and greatest C8 with a limit less than 32?
That's a new one to me.
Remember, that's per repeater not an overall device limit
O
I tried to be clear about my question.
Strictly radial arrangement. Battery devices direct to hub.
I read it was raised to 64 in other hubs.
